Desiderata

"Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence."
 - Desiderata, Max Ehrman

I absolutely love this poem. Why? Because though it has a lot of meaning to it, it's quite simple to understand. Yet there's still that vibrancy and that passion the author conveys. Both longing for a better life and contentment for the one you have now. It conveys to us the message that we should be happy with what has been given to us, yet strive to have more. Be ambitious, but never greedy. Count yourself lucky, but don't be prideful about it. Stop to smell the flowers before proceeding to the busy life ahead of you, and always remember to pluck one once in a while.
